Coming Out On Top's Kickstarter is currently at 1300+ backers, $29,000+! Good god. Many of you know I was originally estimating getting funded for a little over 5K for this project. Holy shit.
And hey there, new contributors! Thank you for joining us with your awesomeness and impeccable good taste! We're now into the 10-day countdown and I'm thrilled to have your support!
I've been busy with work and with writing the past few days. Alex's story line is mostly done, including the addition of some extra scenes.
The main stories for Brad, Ian, Jed, and Phil are outlined, and I'm now in the drafting stage, with a target of 3000 words a day. This should be going on for most of early 2013. The first draft will be minimally 100,000 words long. It's one of several drafts that I'll need to do before the entire script is in working order. Writing and coding are definitely the lengthiest parts of making this game.
I'm working on Brad's script at the moment. All I can say is...oh boy. I can't wait 'til you guys play this! In fact, I can't wait until you play all of the story lines and I get to discover which one generates the most "OMFG"-ness.
If you've played the demo you know I don't like to write any one specific way, neither making the game entirely comedic, romantic, or erotic. I like to give you guys a bit of everything. My main concern is that you have a really fun time, from start to finish.

I've found out about the game and I was really, really excited! I'm a brazilian fan (yeah, already) and I wish I could help you out by backing up the project ( I want my copy! ):), but, sadly, I don't have an international credit card.

I may possibly open a special Paypal account once this Kickstarter ends, but there are various issues that make it difficult. In the meantime, an alternative is using a prepaid credit card.
Note: if you use a prepaid credit card, you'll need to add at least ONE EXTRA DOLLAR to the card on top of your pledge, because of the way Amazon processes prepaid credit cards. (So if you're pledging $10, make the card at least $11).
If you're in Europe, you may be able to do the following:
- use a Visa Debit or Visa Electron with Amazon
- buy a Ukash voucher, convert it into a Ukash NEO pre-paid Mastercard. This reportedly works with Amazon.
- use a virtual Visa Card. More info here: http://www.visaeurope.com/en/cardholders/virtual_cards.aspx
Again, remember to add at least ONE MORE DOLLAR to the card than you are pledging, due to the way the funds are processed.
You can also wait until the game is released (ETA December 2013). The third party vendor I use will most likely use Paypal as one of their payment options.

Trinta, I'm from South Africa, and have used both a credit card and a debit card on Kickstarter. If your credit card is not activated for international use(quite unusual), you can perhaps try to get a debit card(Mastercard or Visa, not Maestro/etc as they often don't work online)

DeleteWow the demo was really really good! Can't wait to play the rest of the game. I love dating sims, but I've always wanted a really really great gay version, and this is exactly the game I have always wanted! I hope it does really well and we get sequels and other games from you. I'm signed on at the $50 level so I'll get the fancy hardcopy.
